Indian Post Payment Bank is incorporated as a public sector company under the department of post with 100% government of India equity and is governed by the Reserve Bank of India. 650 branches of the bank along with the 3250 customer access point are operational across the country from September 2018.

India post has about 154000 post offices of them 90% are in rural areas. There is one post office for every 7146 people in India. India post also has 296000 agents in the rural area. About 2.2 crore people, already receive their National Rural Employment Guarantee Act(NREGA).

After State Bank Of India, India post has the largest deposit valued at Rs 6 lakh crore.

Indian Post Payment Bank has been opened with the objective of increasing financial inclusion across the country. The bank is mainly targeted at people with low income, small businesses, migrant labourers and other unorganised sector who mainly transact in cash and offer them services with low cost of transaction.

Although Indian Post Payment Bank has limited services as compared to the other banks, it aims to provide a wide range of services such as payments, direct benefit transfers and sale of third party products such as mutual funds and insurance.

Eligibility Criteria:

Few are some criteria for applying in the exam:

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of Indian.

 

Age Limit:

Minimum: 20 years

Maximum: 30 years

*should be born not before 02/09/1986 and not later than 01/09/1996

 

Education Qualification:

Candidate must graduate from University/board/institution recognized by government regulatory body.

Candidate who have experience of a business correspondent or in postal service, rural banking or sales of financial products are also eligible.

Candidate has to qualify in each of the sections by securing cut off marks to be decided by IPPB.

*The selected candidate will be called for Personal Interview. The Personal Interview is conducted at select centres and carries total of 100 marks. The candidate is required to score more than 40% to qualify the interview (35% for the SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates).

 

Distribution of marks and Negative marks:

Every question carry 1 mark each in the examination and no deduction when a question is attempted wrong. No mark will be given or deducted for not attempting question.

 

Pre-REQUISITES FOR APPLYING ONLINE:-

Candidates need to apply online for IPPB recruitment 2018 on before the last date. So keep note of it. And following are some requirements during filling the application.

  • You need to register yourself before applying for the exam.
  • Register yourself and save registration id and password for future use.
  • Fill up the application with necessary documents with correct information.
  • You need to give an active email address and phone number for the further call letter and other notification.
  • Upload your recent passport size photograph and scanned signature (size and dimension is given in the site).
  • Proceed to payment.
  • Submit the application and print it as hard copy for proof.
  • Print the application as hard copy for future use.
